DESCRIPTION:A Health and Wellbeing Event is a supportive event to help prepare people affected by cancer\, their carers\,and their family and friends for the transition through their cancer journey. The event brings together a range of service providers from health\, social\,\ncommunity and voluntary sectors. \nThe main aims are:\n– to provide information and advice relating to health and wellbeing\,\n– to signpost those attending to local resources and services including local and national charities\, both clinical and non-clinical\, and\n– to facilitate interaction with other people affected by cancer.

SUMMARY:Family cancer workshop
DESCRIPTION:A free workshop for all the family to help understand cancer\, what it is and how it can be treated. We tailor the workshop to suit little children and teenagers\, depending on the audience that day. Adults will enjoy it too! It starts with a little show that explains about cells\, how and why they divide\, and how they become cancerous. After a break\, families can get involved with the six activity stations. SUMMARY:neuro-oncology Living well workshops
DESCRIPTION:This is an event that is ran on a bi-monthly basis We offer a rolling programme for anyone who has had treatment for a brain tumour and their loved one/partner/carer. We focus on elements identified by brain tumour patient’s as being most important including fatigue\, lack of emotional control and the fear of tumour recurrence. The event runs over two hours with regular breaks\, it has different professionals speaking and is hosted by the Neuro-oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists and The Brain Tumour Charity.
